Comment: Quality Rating: *** (out of 4) For undiluted, trashy fun, DEEP RISING delivers the goods in breezy, no-hold-barred style. I was looking for a colorful good time, and this film gave it to me, without making me feel the part of an admission-paying patsy. The pacing is confidently swift, the action scenes deliver the goods, and the special effects are right-on-the-money, with some welcome doses of humor and relaxed acting by its cast levelling everything out for the better. A real nice surprise.
