Comment: Hunter S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a psychadelic comedy that is the craziest film since Deliverance. This film is so bizarre you might just want to put down the bong and get high from this movie (after all, the movie contains every single known drug known to man since 1544). But kidding aside, this film isn't too bad, and the performances by Johnny Depp and Belicio Dell-Torro aren't that bad. But some of the camera angles, shots and trips might seem like you took a quailude. True, it sticks to the form of the novel by Thompson, and it is helped along by Terry Gilliam's direction, but the film actually is a dark comedy that takes more untouched twists than an ice cream scooper. Strange, vicious, funny, dramatic, and masterpiece like, this type of film won't come along for a long time. A
