Comment: People are quick to rip on this movie, but it's one of my all time favorites. I think Rodriguez' directing and Tarantino's writing are both top notch. Harvey Keitel is my favorite actor, and he shows why here, bringing soul to a movie that no one would think possesed one. Juliette Lewis is also amazing (and sexy) as always. As for Clooney and Tarantino, they play off each other with the kind of wit and bravado I'd expect from two such excellent performers. Clooney used this movie as a way to get an early hit away from ER, and he shows the same star charisma that he later used to propel himself to superstardom in Out of Sight and Three Kings. And even Quinten, often knocked for his acting ambitions, makes a competent psycho. Oh, and did I mention that the movie is an absolute blast, and at the time of its release was a welcome relief from the tortured soul vampire movies that were glutting cineplexes in the wake of Interview With the Vampire? Salma Hayek also appears, doing what is for my money the sexiest strip tease ever committed to film, and she doesn't even take her clothes off. Now THAT'S talent. A 10 all the way.
